Drama is a Dating Distraction

There’s a silent issue many women have and don’t even realize its part of their life and personality. If you’re afflicted with this it’s so natural to you, you don’t recognize you have it, do it, or even that it’s a problem. It’s become the core of life’s decisions, including the men you date, the relationships you create, and situations you allow in your life.

When Drama Goes Beyond A Distraction

When drama becomes an auto-pilot approach to living, you might become a Drama Queen. These tendencies are an emotional driver for the decisions you make… usually the bad ones.

This second nature issue is clutching to life’s drama as a “normal” way of living. It invades your life in multiple ways, damages your love life, and is so ingrained in your method of living that you may be wondering if this drama discussion has anything to do with you. Unfortunately, many women (and men) have a touch of drama in them.

Drama in Your Love Life

In your love life, Drama Queen tendencies mean no good man will ever really stand a chance. He’s too “normal,” has his act together and wants to treat you well. Not enough drama for someone who thrives on having something to complain about, lives for the thrill of chaos, or is so comfortable with turmoil she doesn’t know another way to live.

Some of you are thinking good (translation: nice) men are boring and some of you are thinking you want a good man so Drama Queen tendencies don’t apply to you. Oh contraire on both accounts. Nice has nothing to do with boring. In fact, nice men can also have an ornery streak. Just enough so he’s a little mysterious, yet not enough that he’s a jerk. It’s all in how you look at it.

If you are thinking you want a good man, and have every intention of giving him a chance, you may conclude this drama stuff doesn’t apply to you. Dig a little deeper.

Wanting a good man doesn’t mean you’ve done the work on yourself to actually choose one. Notice I didn’t say deserve one, I said choose one. You absolutely deserve a good man.

Date Deliberately,

Debra
