Making Your I’m Grateful List

During this Thanksgiving Holiday week, take some time to remember all of the blessings you have, whether or not you have that special someone in your life right now. If you have followed my posts for a while, you know that success begins with taking stock of yourself, your life, your choices, and who you are. That most definitely includes being grateful for everything that is going well, and addressing the things that are not.

The “I am grateful for…” List

Here’s a few things to get you started on your grateful list:

Your health. You don’t really know how important this is until you have faced the possibility that you are or will lose it. Take time now to be grateful for having your health, or make it a priority to improve it.

Your home. Having a roof over your head is a basic comfort for those of us who take it for granted.

Your intelligence and spirit. All of us have unique perspectives and experiences that have created who we are. We are all fantastic people with exceptional gifts to offer.

Your friends and family. Single is a legal status, alone is a choice. Nurture all type of relationships in your life, including your family, friends and professional connections.

Your ability to make your own choices. Sometimes it doesn’t feel like we have any choices in life though we always do. We may not like the options presented, though be grateful for your ability to think, reason and consider the options you do have and what will enhance your life.

Being thankful for who you are, recognizing all that you have to share, being willing to give to others, and being open to receiving love and appreciation creates a deeply centered sense of gratitude, and centers your energy on what you do have, instead of what you don’t.

Date Deliberately,

Debra
